The Great Green Wall, reforesting Africa for a shared future

Two exhibitions, two different projects, one theme: "The living heritage".

The wildlife photography's exhibition will be followed by a presentation on animal senses.
The 5 senses have always enabled humans to find their way around and understand their environment. However, these senses can also be misleading when we try to learn more about the living world around us. Nature is home to a diversity and complexity that cannot always be compared through human eyes. So let's delve into the world of animals to try and understand how they see the world, and more specifically how certain species perceive their habitat.

The Great Green Wall's exhibition will focus on the reforestation of the green belt that runs from Senegal to Djibouti (crossing 11 countries).
For the past 16 years, volunteers (adults and young people) have been taking part in a reforestation project aimed at restoring ecosystems in cooperation with village communities. Reforestation has an impact on the socio-cultural, economic and ecological aspects of the areas concerned, reviving local activities while restoring habitats conducive to the return of animal and plant species.
